教学内容

课题名称:What can you do?

本课话题以动物为线索,根据PEP教材五年级上册第四单元的教学内容改编而成,作为第四单元教学的启始。教学内容设计如下:

句型:What can you do? Can you …?

词组:eat bamboo , climb the tree

Chant: Dog, dog, what can you do?

I can run after you.

Panda, panda, what can you do?

I can eat so much bamboo.

Mouse, mouse, what can you do?

I can hide in the shoe.

Mike, Mike, what can you do?

I can draw animals in the zoo!

设计思路

本课话题以PEP教材五年级上册第四单元What can you do ?中的chant 为蓝本,对教材进行了重新组合改编,以学生所喜欢的小动物为主题贯穿整节课,通过设计了多种形式的活动,如猜谜,歌谣,采访,小组讨论等等,实现整节课的整体性。在设计两个重点句型What can you do ?Can you …?时,融入了人与动物和谐相处的思想。从热身活动开始就由学生用所学句子对自己喜欢的动物进行描述,到以猴子会做什么为教学主线,到全班同学对老鼠,熊猫,狗的自由采访,到小组讨论动物们能做些什么,及最后小动物们和同学们一起唱“The More We Get Together”,都是这一思想的体现。让学生在句型学习中自然的习得不同的动物有不同的生活习性,动物是人类的好朋友,我们应该和平共处。

教学目标

知识目标:

1、  听,说,认读eat bamboo 、climb the tree三个词汇。

2、  听懂会说What can you do ?Can you …?两个句型。

3、  理解并能说Let’s chant .

能力目标:

1、  能够在实际情景中运用What can you do ?Can you …?

2、  能够用I can …来描述各种小动物所能做的事

3、  了解不同的动物有不同的生活习性。

情感目标:

1、  培养学生与人交往的能力。

2、  培养学生与动物和睦相处的观念。

教学重难点

教学重点:

能够用句型What can you do ?Can you …? I can …. 来表达自己及朋友、动物们能干些什么。

教学难点:

    单词bamboo和climb的发音,句型What can you do ?的掌握。

课前准备

教学步骤

一、Warm-up

*Sing two English songs:

1.       Mary has a little lamb

2.       Animals on the bus.

*Let’s chant: What can you do?

二、Greeting:

1)      T: How are you?

S1: Fine, thank you. How are you?

T: Very well, thanks. What’s your name?

S2: My name is …

T: Nice to meet you.

(连续问五个学生)

T: Where are you from?

  What day is today?

  Do you have a watch?

  What time is it?

  It’s time for dinner.

  Do you have an English class on Tuesday?

T: What do you have on Saturday/Sunday…?

2)      T: What ‘s your favourite food?

S: The ice-cream.

T: What’s my favourite animal?

Ss: Cat/ Dog…

T: Yeah. Do you like cats?      引出cat 队

Do you like dogs?     引出dog 队

3) riddle引出 elephant           引出 elephant  队

Say their favourite animals: monkey bird tiger fish(老师边说边把有的图片放在各小组桌上。)

三、Presentation and drills:

(然后这个同学去问一个个动物组: Can you…?)

6.       (拿出竹子)T:Monkey, Monkey. Can you eat the bamboo?

S: No, I can’t. Can you eat the bamboo, fish/dog …?

T: Who can eat bamboo?

Ss: Panda.

T: Monkey, Monkey. Can you play hide and seek?

S: Yes, I can.

T: Can you hide in the desk/water…? Can you hide in the shoes?

引出mouse.

T: Mouse can hide in the shoe.

  Monkey, Monkey. Can you climb the tree?

S: Yes, I can.

T: Climb, climb, climb the tree. (加动作)

四、Practice

1.       panda Mike dog mouse  头饰

四个同学上来,下面同学问

Ss: Panda, panda, can you …?

Panda: No, I can’t.

Ss: What can you do?

Panda: I can eat the bamboo.

(连续问上面的四个同学)

2.       Listen to the chant: 课件

Ask and answer

Ss: Dog, dog. What can you do?

     S1: I can …(拍手说)

3.       Group work: (用他们的动物队名)

Tiger: Fish, fish. What can you do?

Fish: I can jump in the water.
